The Alabama National Guard Education Assistance Program (ANGEAP) offers valuable financial support for eligible Guard members pursuing higher education at Alabama’s public colleges and universities. Designed to supplement existing benefits like the GI Bill and Federal Tuition Assistance, ANGEAP helps reduce the cost of tuition and fees—making your academic and career goals more affordable. Students in the Alabama National Guard may be eligible for a stipend each semester. Veteran & Military Affairs encourages all  Alabama National Guard members to apply each semester.

To be considered complete, an ANGEAP application must include the following:

• 2026-2027 ANGEAP Application (PDF)
• 2026-2027 ANGEAP Promissory Note and Repayment Agreement (PDF)
• Completed FAFSA on file

Submit the completed ANGEAP Application, Promissory Note and Repayment Agreement to 3000 Houser Hall. The ANGEAP application must signed with Military CAC (ID Card) or handwritten. Military CAC readers are available in the computer lab in 3000 Houser Hall.
