Chapter 33, 35, 1606, or 30
Below are the steps for any student applying for Chapter 33, 35, 1606, or 30 education benefits.
- Go to VA Education and Training Benefits
- Follow “How to Apply for Education Benefits” link
- Select the Blue Box titled “Apply for Education Benefits”
Form Information
- The Applicant is the student attending the university.
- If you are a dependent, you must be 18 or graduate high school before you can apply for benefits.

- Student must be listed on bank account for VA deposits
- A Certificate of Eligibility will be sent to you in the mail, it is not sent to the school
