Chapter 33
If you have at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service after Sept. 10, 2001, and are still on active duty, or if you are an honorably discharged Veteran or were discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days, you may be eligible for this VA-administered program. This bill can also be transferred to dependents as it is reported on DEERS.
Chapter 31
Entitlement for these services is determined on an individual basis following an evaluation of the veteran’s unique interests, aptitudes, education, work experience, and vocational abilities. This benefit is also known as Vocational Rehabilitation.
Chapter 35
The Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) referred to on campus as Chapter 35 is for eligible dependents of veterans who are permanently disabled.
Chapter 30/1606
The Montgomery GI Selected Reserve (MGIB) or Chapter 1606 program provides education and training benefits to eligible members of the Selected Reserve, including the Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Air Force Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve and Coast Guard Reserve, and the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard.
Fry Scholarship
The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship (Fry Scholarship) provides benefits to the children and surviving spouses of service members who died in the line of duty while on active duty after September 10, 2001.
